Our History

In July 2022, after months of prayer, Pam and Jerry Stricker launched Streetlight Ministry, a nonprofit outreach to the homeless, the poor, and the brokenhearted. They believed Jesus called them to go where people were hurting (woods, laundromats, abandoned buildings, parking lots) and shine His light into dark places.

Pam and Jerry each carried a painful past - but also a longing for healing through Jesus and a heart for broken people. Their personal stories of rescue, redemption, and faith became the foundation for something greater: a ministry to reach the homeless and hurting with love and hope.

Out of their faith and compassion, they began meeting men and women living on the streets offering friendship, prayer, and practical help. Since launching in 2022, Streetlight has continued their mission to go where the hurting are, build trust through relationships, and shine the light of Christ.

Jerry passed away in 2025, but his legacy continues through Streetlight. Today, Pam and a growing team of volunteers remain committed to the founding vision: to serve freely, love unconditionally, and bring the light of Jesus into places of darkness.

Through companionship and compassion, practical help and prayer, we continue to reflect the heart of Christ for the poor, the broken, and the forgotten.

Pamela Stricker

Executive Director

Pamela was fortunate to have had a successful career in the media industry that spanned over 50 years. During those years, she served in a number of roles, including graphic artist, ad sales, sales management, publisher of newspapers and magazines, and more.

Pam handles much of the administrative responsibility for Streetlight. She has a big heart for women, leading groups, teaching, praying with them. Her background and her heart to help others are a natural fit for Streetlight Ministry. She and husband Jerry supported each other in creating an effective outreach to the homeless.

In 2000, after two decades in the corporate world, Jeff made a significant career change by acquiring a manufacturing company in the inner city of Cincinnati, OH. This transition wasn’t just a business move; it was a commitment to community transformation by partnering with Jobs Plus. Jeff created employment opportunities for individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration or rehab. Recognizing the importance of holistic development, Jobs Plus provided education and religious classes three nights a week while Jeff focused on training these individuals to become successful and valued employees.

After being involved with the Vineyard Church, Jeff started attending Crossroads Church and met Pam & Jerry through a small group. He then began volunteering with Streetlight Ministry. Jeff is the proud father of four children, two daughters & two sons, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Whitney is the Creative Director of Room in the Inn - Memphis, a growing nonprofit sheltering those experiencing homelessness. While attending seminary, Whitney felt called to ministry beyond the pulpit and walls of the church and into spaces that made room for creativity and community while meeting the needs of those gathered. She has found a place to explore and live into that call with Room in the Inn since 2015.

With a move to the Cincinnati area in 2024, Whitney continues her work with Room in the Inn remotely, connects with individuals and ministries nation-wide through  her art ministry, Seed Creative Care, and finds opportunities to use her gifts to serve locally. In work and in life Whitney finds her call rooted in creativity, joy, and community.

Jody Faul

Outreach Coordinator

Over the last 30 years, Jody has devoted most of her time to two things; caring for her husband Mark and their two children and helping those in need. She has volunteered in various food pantries and soup kitchens, helped organize a homeschool co-op, served as a crew leader for Habitat for Humanity, worked as a Rapid Rehousing Specialist at Brighton Center, and even ran a soup kitchen out of her own kitchen for a few years.

You'll find Jody on Streetlight Ministry's front lines - answering calls and coordinating meals and outreach projects.

When it comes to service, Jody considers herself a jack-of-all-trades- going where the Lord leads and doing her best to leave this world in a better condition than she found it.

Jody says, “ I grew up learning that life is hard. That’s a given. And it’s not just hard for me, it’s hard for everybody. Everyone I knew struggled just as much as we did, and we stuck together. We took care of each other because that’s just what you do. And that's why I do it now.”

A bible verse that describes her philosophy on ministry is John 13:34, “Love one another as I have loved you.”
